ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a car in Orion Township Wednesday night.
The crash happened on Lapeer Road near Morgan Hill Drive around 8 p.m. on March 19.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said Jennifer Marie Billington, a 48-year-old woman from Lake Orion Village, was driving a motorcycle northbound on Lapeer Road when a minivan, driven by a 42-year-old man from Royal Oak, failed to yield while entering the road from Morgan Hill Drive. The motorcycle then collided with the minivan.
Billington was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. First responders tried to perform life-saving measures on her, and she was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The 42-year-old man was not injured in the crash.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash.
