DETROIT – Play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti is in his second season calling Detroit Tigers games, and he’s loving it.
Before the Tigers’ 7-4 victory against the Chicago White Sox, Benetti spoke with Local 4 about how he prepares for Opening Day and what it will be like trying to match the excitement level of last year’s playoff run.
“I wasn’t doing the game, but I was here for that first playoff game in a while against Cleveland. It was rambunctious. If you do your job as though it was like five times the pressure, I think you’re going to be like three times worse. It’s a game of baseball, but there is magic in the air.”
