Man critical, woman seriously hurt after shooting on Detroit’s west side

DETROIT – An altercation has led to a shooting and the hospitalization of a man and a woman on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Thursday (April 3) at 8:05 p.m. in the 18900 block of Fenmore Street.

Police said the altercation ensued between an unknown suspect and a man.

Officials said the suspect fired a shot, striking the man, who was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said the woman, who was outside at the time of the shooting, was struck.

She was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, too, where she was listed in temporary serious condition.
