SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Crews battled a fully engulfed fire in Southfield early Tuesday morning.
Plum Hollow Market on 9 Mile at Lahser caught fire at around 1:15 a.m. on April 8.


Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames by 5:30 a.m. but are still working to put out hot spots throughout the building.
According to Southfield Battalion Chief Christopher Smith, the fire started at the corner inside the building.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities said two attached businesses suffered smoke and water damage. The building directly behind the supermarket was not damaged.
According to Plum Hollow Market’s website, it has served the local community for more than 50 years.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
