A man from Ohio has been arrested after a multi-county pursuit ended in Monroe County.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (April 15) at 2:33 a.m. when officials said the Monroe County Dispatch received a call from Lucas County advising that they had just terminated a pursuit of a vehicle northbound on Telegraph at the state line.

Police said Lucas County advised that the vehicle had all four tires flattened and that the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (Ohio) initially initiated the pursuit for a traffic violation.
Officials said Deputy Sheriff Brian Robar was on patrol in the area of Telegraph Road and Sterns Road when he observed the vehicle traveling north on Telegraph Road with sparks coming from its wheels.
Police said the vehicle failed to stop and continued north on Telegraph Road. The pursuit speeds varied between 33mph and 53mph.
Officials said the vehicle came to a stop due to mechanical failure on Telegraph Road just north of Dean Road. The driver, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was arrested without incident.
The driver was identified as a 26-year-old male from Orrville, Ohio. He was lodged in the Monroe County Jail for fleeing and eluding.
The man’s name is being withheld pending formal arraignment in the 1st District Court in Monroe.
