SB Lodge Freeway in Wayne County reopens after Michigan State Police evidence search

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – The Lodge Freeway is back open after being shut down due to an evidence search by Michigan State Police.

Michigan State Police Troopers are conducting an evidence search related to a felonious assault that has shut down the southbound lanes of the John C Lodge Freeway in Wayne County.

The closure occurred Wednesday (April 16) night, so the Lodge Freeway at Linwood was closed to traffic.

Officials said no injuries were associated with the incident; however, the freeway shutdown was necessary to facilitate the investigation.
