ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 39-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Roseville that turned into a barricaded situation.

According to authorities, Donald Richard Pickett shot two women at a home on Macel Street, just west of the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and 14 Mile Road, on Monday, April 21.

One woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her leg and the other was shot in the foot. Authorities said one of the women told police the suspect was armed and inside the home.

Pickett was reportedly barricaded inside the home for several hours before surrendering. He has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and four counts of felony firearm. Bond was set at $1,00,000.

Pickett’s probable cause conference is scheduled for April 30. His preliminary exam is scheduled for May 7.
