HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Police in Highland Park are looking for two people believed to be casing a neighborhood while posing as door-to-door salesmen.
According to authorities, an unknown man attempted to break into a home near Eason and Second avenues at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 22. The home was occupied and the homeowner was able to scare the man off.
Police said the homeowner told them there are people in the northwest area of Highland Park posing as door-to-door salesmen for security alarms. They reportedly were not able to provide a company name nor were they able to produce any paperwork or contact information.
Police believe the incidents could be related and are urging residents to report crimes to the Highland Park Police Department at 313-852-7338. In case of an emergency, call 911.
