Police said that for several months, investigators connected Gray to dozens of motor vehicle thefts from the west side of Michigan to Massachusetts.

Officials said investigators utilized social media evidence, phone tracking and mapping, and surveillance of Gray to establish his involvement.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office authorized charges for conducting a criminal enterprise (CCE) in early April.

Following his arrest, Gray was arraigned on April 15. At that time, he was issued a $1 million bond and ordered to wear a steel GPS tether if released.

A search warrant executed at Gray’s residence on the day of his arrest yielded key evidence, including numerous key fobs, a significant amount of cash, and a stolen Glock switch, further tying him to the criminal operation.
