DETROIT – A 33-year-old woman from Detroit has been charged in a crash that killed two people who were sitting at a bus stop.

It happened just before 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, near the intersection of Evergreen Road and Fenkell Avenue. Police said a southbound SUV was speeding when the driver lost control and drove into the northbound lanes before hitting the bus stop and slamming into a gas station.

43-year-old Kwasi Agbottah and 41-year-old Elizabeth Agbottah were killed.

Dejah Latre Berry was charged with two counts of reckless driving causing death and two counts of driving while license suspended causing death.
