London Thomas case: 2 in custody in connection to missing Detroit teen’s death

London Thomas found dead after weeks of searching

DETROIT – Friends and family are trying their best to cope with the loss of London Thomas after her body was found over the weekend.

The 17-year-old was last seen on April 5 when she was dropped off at her boyfriend’s house on Carlysle Street in Inkster. She was found dead on Saturday, April 26, in Southfield after weeks of searching.

Michigan State Police is the lead agency in the investigation. Police said they have two suspects in custody who are “believed to be involved in her disappearance.”

Police have not released information on what circumstances led to her death. Once the investigation is complete, it will be given to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office to review.

“Our condolences go out to the family and friends of London,” said Michigan State Police F/Lt. Mike Shaw. “While a majority of the investigation has been completed by DPD and the FBI, there is still work to do. Our number one goal is to bring justice for London and her family. In order to accomplish this goal, we will not be releasing any further information on this investigation at this time.”

Detroit police, along with the FBI, searched the home of the teen’s boyfriend on Carlysle Street in Inkster last week.
