“We thank the quick response from the Livonia firefighters and the bystander that called in the fire,” said Bate’s Burgers on Facebook. “We will update you as soon as we assess the damage.”
The owner told Local 4 that the restaurant is closed on Tuesday. It’s possible that they will reopen to serve coneys and shakes, but they will not have burgers until the flat top is fixed or replaced.
The owner is waiting to hear from insurance to determine how long they will be closed.
