St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office want help finding missing 69-year-old man

He told family member he was in trouble, sheriff’s office says

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mich. – St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding a missing 69-year-old man.

Robert Leon Smith, from Fort Gratiot, was last heard from on Friday, May 2, 2025. The sheriff’s office said he told a family member he was in trouble. His phone has been off since then.

Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office spotted his black 2012 Chrysler Town and Country traveling on I-96 near Davison on Monday, May 5, 2025, via FLOCK. The car’s license plate is a Michigan plate: EXJ 6922.

Authorities said Smith is diabetic and does not have insulin with him.
