DETROIT – Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Andre Stephon-Curtis Broadenax, 29, of Detroit, in connection with breaking into a 75-year-old Detroit man’s home and the theft of a 52-year-old Dearborn Heights man’s vehicle.
It is alleged that Broadenax used his 11-year-old daughter to assist in the home invasion and car thefts.

Officials said on April 29, 2025, at 8:43, Broadenax allegedly was in possession of the 52-year-old victim’s vehicle when he forced entry into the 75-year-old victim’s home in the 600 block of Marquette Drive in Detroit before fleeing the scene on foot.
An investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to his arrest a short time later.
The 29-year-old father has been charged with first-degree home invasion, second-degree home invasion, larceny in a building, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, including a minor to commit a felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Broadenax was arraigned on May 2, 2025, in 36th District Court and given a $75,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether and house arrest.
At the bond re-determination hearing on Monday (May 5), a judge increased Broadenax’s bond to $150,000 cash/surety with a GPS tether and house arrest.
The probable cause conference is scheduled for May 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., and the preliminary examination is scheduled for May 21, 2025, at 8:45 a.m.
