May
Canton Farmers Market
A town favorite, the Canton Farmers Market, has just started back up. It runs every Sunday through Oct. 12. This open-air event features Michigan-grown and produced goods, along with handcrafted artisan items from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In May and June, it will take place at Village Arts Factory, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road.
From July through October, it will take place at Preservation Park, located at 500 North Ridge Road.
June
National Trails Day & River Day
On June 7th, National Trails Day and River Day will feature a free, self-guided hike along the Lower Rouge Trail, with educational displays, bird walks, and birdhouse building for children. This pet-friendly event aims to raise awareness of the trail system and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lower Rouge Trailhead, Morton Taylor north of Michigan Ave.
Canton Liberty Fest
Canton’s 32nd Annual Liberty Fest in 2025 promises a celebration filled with family fun, live entertainment and festival food on June 11 and 12. Continuing the tradition, the festival will offer a variety of activities for all ages.
It will take place at Heritage Park, behind 1150 S. Canton Center Road
Summer Palooza
On June 20 -- the longest day of the year -- enjoy a free evening of fun at the Heritage Park North Pavilions for Summer Palooza, featuring a DJ, airbrush tattoos, and summer games. The event runs from 7-9 p.m. and requires no pre-registration.
Pride OUTside
This LGBTQ+ Pride event will be held at the Amphitheater stage in Heritage Park on June 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This free, all-ages event will feature guest speakers, performers, community resources, local vendors, and refreshments, encouraging attendees to show their rainbow pride.
Thursday Night LIVE Music Series
The 2025 Thursday Night LIVE Music Series, sponsored by Schoolcraft College, will be held at the Heritage Park Amphitheater from June 26 to Aug. 14. The event features free music performances every Thursday evening, with headliners starting at 7 p.m. and pre-entertainment at 6:30 p.m.
July
Tuesdays are Terrific Kids Concert Series
Taking place every Tuesday in July, the Heritage Park Amphitheater hosts the “Tuesdays are Terrific Kids Concert Series,” offering free children’s music, food, and entertainment from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Each event features a unique theme, along with a special guest, activity, or character to enhance the experience.
Concerts & Cuisine
Cherry Hill Village will host “Concerts & Cuisine” on four consecutive Wednesday nights this summer. Attendees can enjoy live music, local vendors from the Canton Farmers Market, and a variety of food from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Village Arts Factory.
Family Movie Camp Out Featuring The Wild Robot (Rated PG)
Families are invited to a fun-filled event featuring a camp-out at Independence Park on July 11. The event includes a movie screening of “The Wild Robot” at dusk, along with games and entertainment for all ages. Attendees can purchase wristbands for activities, and camping fees can be paid on-site or online.
Rally on Ridge
A gourmet food truck rally will take place on July 25 at Preservation Park, benefiting the Canton Farmers Market. The event, held from 4 to 9 p.m., features live music, lawn games, a beer tent, and a variety of local eats.
August
Spray Day
The Canton Fire and Police Department will host a free outdoor splash event called “Spray Day” at Summit on the Park. Participants can enjoy getting sprayed by fire trucks and hydrants from 12:15 to 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 6. Attendees are encouraged to wear bathing suits and must pre-register for the event.
National Night Out
Residents are invited to Canton’s National Night Out at Heritage Park on Aug. 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event features live music, an interactive display of Canton Public Safety vehicles, and games hosted by event sponsors, offering entertainment for all ages.
Family Science & Art Night in Cherry Hill Village
The Village Arts Factory in Cherry Hill Village will host a Family Science & Art Night on Aug. 15. This free event, from 6-8 p.m., will offer families the opportunity to engage in various hands-on science, art, and technology activities as they move between different stations.
