SUV drives into Oakland County home, resident believes they’re being bombed

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A Farmington Hills resident thought someone was bombing their house when an SUV drove into their living room early Thursday morning.

It happened at about 1:30 a.m. Authorities said they received a 911 call from someone who said a bomb had been thrown into their home. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that had driven through a living room window and was almost fully inside the home.

Emergency crews ventilated the home of exhaust smoke and searched the residence to ensure that all occupants had safely escaped.

One resident was medically evaluated at the scene as a precaution, but no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
