Taylor police crack down on illegal parking, vehicle stunts at business complex

Tire marks from vehicle stunts and donuts cover the retail center’s parking lot

TAYLOR, Mich. – The Taylor Police Department is taking action against unauthorized parking and vehicle gatherings at The Crossings at Taylor business complex, following complaints from property owners.

Tire marks from vehicle stunts and donuts cover the retail center’s parking lot.

Police issued warnings through social media about potential citations and vehicle impoundment.

“There’s just tire marks everywhere. Looks like they’re definitely doing donuts,” said local shopper Jacob Lauchlan.

Despite posted signage stating “Customer parking only” and warnings that “Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense,” the problem persists.

The property owner has formally notified the police about the retail center’s illegal parking and unauthorized vehicle gatherings.

Local shopper Pam Lindsey expressed support for the property owner’s stance.

“No, not at all. I mean, I would, too. What if they hit a pole?” said Lindsey when asked if she was surprised by the enforcement measures.

The Taylor Police Department emphasized that this enforcement initiative extends beyond the Crossings at Taylor.

Similar actions will be taken against unauthorized parking and gatherings at other properties throughout Taylor where drivers lack documented approval from property owners or valid city permits.
