Comerica Bank, Grand Prix host career field trip for Detroit students

DETROIT – During Comerica Free Prix Day on Friday, at the 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear, representatives from the Detroit Grand Prix and Comerica Bank will host students from Breithaupt Career Technical Center in Detroit.

This event offers students the opportunity to gain up-close perspectives on careers in auto racing through a behind-the-scenes tour of the Grand Prix.

As part of the Comerica Free Prix Day, Comerica and the Grand Prix have engaged with youth throughout Detroit, allowing high school students to interact uniquely with auto racing professionals.

This year, Grand Prix President Michael Montri will greet students upon their arrival.

The special guests will visit the Grand Prix DMC Medical Center, meet with team owner Rod Reid and driver Myles Rowe, and tour the paddock area.

For the 12th consecutive year, Comerica Bank will make it possible for the community to experience the high-speed excitement and thrills of the Grand Prix for free on the opening day of on-track activities, with free seating in Grandstands 1 and 9 on May 30, from 10:10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

  • 10:10 AM: Group photo opportunity at Comerica Free Prix Day entry (near Grandstands 1 and 9)
  • 10:15 AM: Students meet with Detroit Grand Prix President Michael Montri (Comerica Free Prix Day entry near Grandstands 1 and 9)
  • 10:35 AM: Students tour Grand Prix Medical Center and meet with Dr. Trifun Dimitrijevski
  • 11:10 AM: Students meet Myles Rowe and Rod Reid at ABEL Motorsports garage (INDY NXT Paddock)
