NORTHFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A barricaded situation in Washtenaw County has been resolved peacefully, police said. One person was taken into custody.
According to the Northfield Township Police Department, it started at about 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, when they received a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance near Main Street and Six Mile Road. Police said a woman was forced into a vehicle by a man later identified as a 36-year-old resident of Northfield Township.

At his home on Nollar Road, police said they made contact with the man, and the woman was released from inside the house. He reportedly refused to exit the house and barricaded himself inside, leading to assistance being requested from the Washtenaw County Crisis Negotiation Team and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department Tactical Unit.
Police said they secured the area, and according to an update on Tuesday afternoon, the situation was resolved peacefully.
One person was taken into custody.
