4 injured after shooting during barbecue on Detroit’s west side

Suspect arrested

DETROIT – A suspected gunman is in custody after four people were shot during a barbecue on Detroit’s west side.

The shooting happened on June 11 at around 11:30 p.m. near Grand River and Greenfield.

Detroit police said the people involved were guests at the barbecue, and they all knew each other. The victims, all adults, sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said they are still working to learn how many shooters were involved.
