DETROIT – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-75 early Thursday morning.
According to the Michigan State Police, the driver of a three-wheeled motorcycle was traveling north on I-75 near the Lodge Freeway on June 12, just after 2 a.m., when a car rear-ended the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and crash.

After the initial impact, the driver of the car also lost control and caused the car to roll over.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. Michigan State Police said the motorcyclist has not yet been identified.
It’s unclear if the driver of the car was injured.
The freeway was shut down for hours early Thursday morning as crews cleared the scene.
