MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A Macomb County drug bust involving two hookah shops resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure of 10 pounds of marijuana.

The search warrants were executed Monday, June 16, at the Area 51 Hookah and Tobacco shops on Gratiot Avenue in Mount Clemens and on Harper Avenue in Clinton Township, as well as a home on Holland Avenue in Eastpointe.

According to authorities, police seized more than a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, 10 pounds of marijuana, five guns, nearly $23,000 in cash, a Chevrolet Silverado and a Jeep Wagoneer.

A 44-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both arrested. They remain lodged at the Macomb County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
