ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. – A head-on collision in Rochester Hills took the life of a 77-year-old grandmother and injured three others.
The crash occurred on Sunday (June 15) after 4 p.m. in Rochester Hills.

Police said Julianne McClure from Troy was operating a 2024 Chevrolet Trax southbound on Rochester Road near Hickory Lawn Street when her vehicle was struck by a 2006 Toyota Highlander being driven northbound by a 31-year-old Lincoln Park man.
Officials said the Toyota crossed the centerline and struck the Chevrolet head-on.
Rochester Hills Fire Department personnel extricated McClure from the vehicle, and she was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where she died from her injuries on June 18, 2025.
Police said McClure’s 15-year-old granddaughter, a resident of Minnetonka, Minn, was a front-seat passenger when she suffered a broken ankle.
Officials said the granddaughter was treated and released from the hospital on Wednesday.
Police said two children, aged nine and seven, were in the backseat of the Toyota.
Officials said they were both taken to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment.
Police said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been factors in the incident, which is being investigated by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
