Officials said he was able to communicate on the scene with others before being transported to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment.

Police said Yang has Parkinson’s disease.
Ann Arbor police Chief Andre Anderson addressed the community’s efforts to locate Yang, who has been missing for 48 hours.
Yang was last seen around 7:15 p.m. on June 23, 2025, in the area of Pin Oak Drive and White Oak Drive when he went for a walk and didn’t return home.

The community’s response has been overwhelming, with nearly 200 volunteers participating in the search efforts.
“The community has been really concerned and really helpful,” Anderson said.
Anderson shared that Yang has a history of dementia and Parkinson’s disease, which may have contributed to his disappearance.
The elements, including heat and rain, heighten the urgency of the search.
Anderson emphasized the importance of community collaboration.
“We want our police department to be an agency that has a great deal of comfort in working with the people in our community,” Anderson said. “Our primary focus today is all about finding Mr. Yang. That’s what we care about.”
Anderson and the entire AAPD would like to thank the community for their efforts over the past 48 hours.
“We had at least 60 volunteers at the 1:30 p.m. search and more than 200 volunteers tonight to look for Mr. Yang. Today was a true testament to how strong our community is and how we look after each other.
We also want to thank all the community members who shared our posts to get the word out and the other law enforcement agencies who assisted in the search these 48 hours."
