Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Genesee County

Hail and high winds pose risk to vehicles and structures

DETROIT – The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Genesee County.

The warning runs until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 2.

According to the National Weather Service, a severe thunderstorm, capable of producing quarter-sized hail, was located over Crossroads Village near Flint, moving east at 25 mph.

Areas expected to be impacted include Flint, Burton, and Davison, with potential damage to vehicles. Residents are advised to seek shelter in an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
