The stabbing happened shortly before 8 a.m. on July 10, at the McDonald’s at 17921 9 Mile Road.
According to police, the manager, 39-year-old Jennifer Harris, told Muhammad to go home early due to her performance at work, to which she responded, “I’ll be back.”
Muhammad reportedly left the fast-food restaurant and drove to a nearby park before deciding to return to her workplace.
Police said when she went back to the McDonald’s, she wore a hooded mask in an attempt to conceal her identity, wielded a knife that was in her car and entered the restaurant from the back.
Prosecuting attorney Sian Hengeveld said Muhammad then stabbed Harris about 15 times.
Workers at the McDonald’s attempted to save Harris, but she died from her injuries.
Muhammad tried to run away but was stopped by an armed bystander.
According to police, Muhammad admitted she intended to kill Harris.
Muhammad was arraigned on July 11, and her bond was set at $25 million. She is expected to return to court on July 23.
