During her arraignment, assistant prosecutor Sian Hengeveld revealed more information about what happened during the attack.
When requested no bond for Muhammad, she laid out several facts for the court to consider whether or not the 26-year-old is a threat to the community.
Hengeveld said Muhammad entered a public building, and other employees were present at the time of the attack.
“She produced a weapon that was a knife longer than 3 inches, and she stabbed the victim multiple times, up to possibly as many as 15 times, eventually causing her death,” Hengeveld said.
The assistant prosecutor also said that some of the employees present tried to help the victim after the stabbing happened.
“That alone is enough to show there is a threat to the community,” Hengeveld said.

After the stabbing, the prosecutor said Muhammad ran to her vehicle with the intent to flee, but was stopped by a “helpful bystander.”
Hengeveld also asked Judge Kathleen G. Galen to consider the likelihood of conviction.
“Given the facts laid out by Detective Showers and the information that the prosecutors have reviewed in order to charge this defendant, there is a very high likelihood of conviction,” said Hengeveld.
The third point the assistant prosecutor asked the judge to consider was the fact that the defendant is allegedly connected to a previous stabbing.
“The defendant does have a prior instance of at least one that I’m aware of that involved a stabbing, similar obviously to the stabbing that occurred in this case, involving a knife,” said Hengeveld.
For these reasons, the assistant prosecutor requested that no bond be issued for Muhammad.
“Given all of those factors, and given the fact that this court does have the authority to give no bond to defendants charged with murder, I am asking at this time for no bond in this case,” said Hengeveld.
The judge ended up setting bond at $25 million for Muhammad, with several conditions if she posts it and is released. The conditions include that she must wear a steel GPS tether, she cannot leave the state or have any contact with the victim’s family/witnesses and more.
The 26-year-old is scheduled to appear in court again on July 23 for a probable cause conference and on July 30 for a preliminary examination.
