PONTIAC, Mich. – A Pontiac woman and her longtime live-in boyfriend were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide on Thursday, officials said.

The woman, identified as Latrece Shanna Harper, 33, was found dead at about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, 2025, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Her stepdaughter found her body on a couch at her home in the 300 block of South Marshall Street, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Harper had one gunshot wound to her head.

Then, 15 minutes later, Bloomfield Township police were called to Square Lake Road near Telegraph.

Officers found Harper’s boyfriend, identified as 41-year-old Clifford Torrell Noel Jr., “slumped over behind the wheel of a car from a self-inflicted shot from an AR-style rifle.”

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The sheriff’s office said the couple had been in a relationship for about 10 years. Detectives believe that the apparent murder-suicide stemmed from an argument.

The couple leaves behind five children, who range in age from four to 15. They were found uninjured at a motel in Rochester Hills, according to the sheriff’s office.

Child Protective Services has arranged placement for them.

“It breaks my heart when relationships turn violent,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “If you’re in an abusive one, get help. There are people and groups ready to guide you to safety.”
