The northbound lanes of the Southfield Freeway have reopened following a police investigation into a possible shooting.
Police said suspects were in custody and that all lanes of the freeway have since been reopened.
Police did not immediately release additional information about the suspects or possible charges.
No injuries have been identified in the incident.
The freeway was shut down around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026, after police received a report of a shooting involving a vehicle in the northbound lanes near Plymouth Road.
At one point, the northbound lanes were closed between Warren Road and Joy Road as investigators responded to the scene.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area during the closure.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
