Weather: Comfortable air returns Friday before weekend storm chance

After several days of heat and humidity, a refreshing change has arrived across Metro Detroit. Sunny skies, a steady breeze, and noticeably lower humidity will make for a much more comfortable day today. Afternoon temperatures will top out in the low 80s, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities, yard work, or simply enjoying a break from the summer humidity.

The comfortable weather won’t last long, however, as temperatures begin climbing again on Saturday. Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s as warmer and more humid air returns to Southeast Michigan ahead of the next weather system.
