2 Dearborn officers shot overnight during arrest attempt; suspect in custody

DEARBORN, Mich. – Two Dearborn officers were shot overnight on Friday near the intersection of Inkster and Van Born Road in Romulus.

Preliminary information shows the two officers were shot around 2:30 a.m. during an arrest attempt. The officers were transported to a local hospital for treatment where they are both listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.

The suspect was also shot during the altercation and Inkster police say they have the individual in custody. He was also transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.
