SHELBY TWP, Mich. – A search warrant at a Shelby Township home last week resulted in the seizure of hundreds of oxycodone and amphetamine pills, several weapons with multiple rounds of ammunition, and at least one arrest, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office and Warren Police Department executed the search warrants at a home in the 5000 block of Paladin Drive on Sept. 17, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say 45-year-old Mark Cholagh, of Macomb Township, was taken into custody after officers located and seized the pills, three rifles, seven handguns, multiple magazines and rounds of ammunition, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials, and nearly $16,000 in U.S. currency.
Cholagh was subsequently charged with one count of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance (cocaine, heroin or another narcotic) 50 to 449 grams, a 20-year felony; one count of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance (schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana and cocaine), a 7-year felony; and one count of felony firearm.
His bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety, which Cholagh paid, and has now been released from custody. He is due back in court for a probable cause conference at 1 p.m. Oct. 5.
