Dog injured after shooting at Southfield home

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A dog is injured after shots were fired at a home in Southfield early Monday morning.

The shooting happened in the 29400 block on Sharon Lane at around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 28.

When Southfield police responded to a report of shots being fired, they found that multiple rounds had been fired into a home through the front door. No one was home at the time, but a dog inside was struck by gunfire and survived.

Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.
