Amy, Jonesta and Erik, RN’s, Ann Arbor -- "The 3 of us have volunteered to work in what is known as the RICU to help assist the COVID pt’s in their battle to regain strength and health.
This unit was quickly transformed to house COVID only pt’s.
I took an oath to provide heath care to anyone and my oath has never been more important than now. I’m so proud to be a nurse!!!!
*please note the smiles of the eyes!"
Kelly is a recovery nurse, yet when the virus first started in Detroit she moved to the frontlines and was ICU.
She is dedicated, selfless and a single mom.
E Brooks (Ascension Providence Hospital Southfield): Hello, I work in the lab at the hospital, my duties are to make sure all specimens from patients are dealt with the upmost care and respect. This includes making sure the specimen is first collected properly for testing. Especially, during this time with Covid-19, this process helps doctors diagnose and treat patients efficiently.
