Bangor School District Superintendent Lynn Johnson told WWMT that the students were suspended for 10 days, but two of them might have their suspension reduced because they may not have been aware of what they were consuming.

The 11-year-old could also face possession charges, pending the investigation.

The school was made aware of the brownies after a student went home and told their parents, according to WWMT.

Bangor is in Van Buren County, about 25 miles west of Kalamazoo.
