A Macomb County doctor is facing charges connected to a deadly crash in Michigan last year.
The crash happened in September of 2023 in Elmwood Township, in Leelanau County. The Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office said charges were filed after an “extensive investigation” of the two-car crash that killed one and seriously injured five others.

Shahed Hussain, a 33-year-old man from Sterling Heights, was charged with one count of reckless driving causing death, along with five other felony counts stemming from the head-on crash.
Hussain was arrested at his Macomb County home and brought to Leelanau County to face charges. He is listed as a resident at St. John Providence in Rochester Hills, according to WPBN.
Hussain is due in court for a preliminary exam on April 12.
