The crew from “American Pickers” are coming to Michigan, and they’re looking for collectors who have unique items and stories to go with them.
The group of pickers from the History Channel TV show are coming to Michigan this August in search of unusual items and collections kept by interesting collectors. Those behind the show are asking people with rare items to reach out to possibly become part of the show.
“American Pickers” hosts Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby travel across the U.S. to “recycle and rescue forgotten relics” including “historically significant objects,” while looking for collectors with unique stories. On the show, the hosts bring viewers to those unusual collections or items through documentary-style storytelling.
The “pickers,” as they’re called, only focus on private collections, and don’t visit any stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, or businesses.
Anyone interested in sharing their items or collections to be considered for “American Pickers” can call 646-493-2184, or email AmericanPickers@cineflix.com. You’re asked to include your full name, city and state, contact information, and a brief description of the collection.
The crew is heading to multiple areas throughout the country this year to find collections to feature in their upcoming season.
