Saturday night will have scattered showers. Overnight lows hover in the low and mid 60s.
Sunday is the day of the Freep Press Marathon. There have been plenty of marathon days with temps near or below freezing at the start of the race. This will not be one of those, but it will be one of the wettest endeavors for many racers and volunteers. Rain will be scattered and light in the morning, before sunrise. Then, by 8 a.m. ET and afterward, rain will be moderate and heavy, at times. Another tenth to a quarter of an inch is possible. Runners and volunteers will have a tough time keeping their feet (and the rest of their bodies, for that matter) dry. Cooler, too, so jackets will be needed. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Sunshine returns Monday. It will be cooler, though. Highs in the mid and upper 50s.
Sunglasses will be needed Tuesday and the rest of the week. With powder blue skies overhead, Highs will be in the mid 60s Tuesday.
Wednesday will be sunny and milder with highs in the upper 60s. Thursday and Friday will be warmer with daytime temps near 70 degrees or more both days.
