SURVEILLANCE VIDEO: Man breaks into home of Hurricane Irma evacuees

A man in St. Petersburg, Florida was caught on surveillance video breaking into a home after the residents evacuated for Hurricane Irma. Police released footage of the September 10 incident this week.

The man is seen walking around the home and rummaging through at least one drawer. He is holding what appears to be a crowbar and wearing gloves.

Police said the burglar entered the home by breaking a window on the back door, according to WFLA.

Authorities said the man is a suspect in another home burglary on the same property.

The thief left the home with several items including video titles.
