LONG BEACH, Calif. – Police in Long Beach, California are investigating after cellphone video recorded Wednesday night showed a Metro Blue Line passenger dragging an unconscious man off a train because, according to witnesses, he did not want his ride delayed.

The incident occurred about 10:30 Wednesday night, according to investigators.

The video shows a man in a suit dragging an unconscious, partially naked man off the train and leaving him on the platform.

“Dude just had a seizure, and this white boy is gonna drag him off the train so he don’t miss his ride,” the man recording can be heard saying.

The man who recorded the video spoke with Fox 11 Los Angeles and asked to be called Billion. He said the unconscious man was suffering from seizures and had thrown up on the train before collapsing.

Billion also said the man had metal staples in his head and was wearing a medical wristband, as if he had just gotten out of the hospital.

“There are a lot of people on this train that have to get home,” the man in the suit can be heard saying in the video.

Officials said paramedics eventually arrived to treat the unconscious man for seizures, and he was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

In a statement, Metro said:

Obviously, this is very disturbing and we never want to see this on our system. We’re getting all the facts including reviewing the video from the train and the platform, and we’ll share more details when they’re available.
