WESTLAND, Mich. – Police are investigating after a man was found dead Saturday in an apartment in Westland.
Police responded to the Sky Gate Apartments on Yale Street, just off Wayne Road.

Westland police said they have one person in custody. Neighbors saw the 22-year-old man getting arrested in a parking lot.
Family members of the 25-year-old victim were emotional. They arrived at the apartment complex to learn police were there because of their loved one.
Neighbors watched as police methodically investigated the circumstances of the death inside the eight-story building.
Westland police said officers were dispatched at noon for a dispute between roommates. When officers arrived, the victim was found dead. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Neighbors were concerned about their own security.
"Someone may have let someone in unauthorized. The secure building isn't that secure," one neighbor said.
Westland police insisted there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing. Police were hoping to review the surveillance video from inside the building to shed light on what happened.
"We definitely need a lot of answers," the neighbor said. "If you look around the parking lot, you'll see many people from the building who are concerned."
