Runners pack streets for Detroit Free Press/TCF Bank Marathon

Annual event attracts people from around country, region

DETROIT – If you are driving through downtown Detroit today, you might find some unexpected roadblocks. 

That is because large crowds of runners are taking over the streets for the Detroit Free Press/TCF Bank Marathon. 

Thousands are expected to participate in the annual event, which attracts people from around the region and country. 

It is going to be a mild, fall-like morning across the city.
