DETROIT – Two years after 41-year-old Ditwan Morgan was killed in Detroit, her family is still looking for answers.
Morgan walked to the corner store four houses away on the night of March 17, 2015. She had a verbal altercation at the store with an unknown man who chased her back to her home in the in the 10000 block of Bonita, near Hayes Street and East Outer Drive on Detroit's east side.

She entered her house and locked the door, but she was shot in the back through the door.
Her uncle and son were at the top of the stairs and heard her say she had been shot.
Morgan died at St. John Hospital in Detroit.
Morgan left behind two children, Jazmine, 24, and Jajuan, 5.
She graduated from Princess Ann High School in Virginia Beach, Va. She attended the U.S .Merchant Marine Academy in Boston, Mass. to study CAD Engineering.
Morgan was the owner-operator of Change of Life, a business she created to provide food, shelter and care for the homeless, whom she referred to as independent adults.
