Surveillance video shows man breaking into bowling alley in Waterford Township

Man stole refrigerator, TV

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A bowling alley was broken into on Christmas Eve in Waterford Township, according to police.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the Airway Lanes Bowling Alley on Highland Road through a broken window around 7:30 p.m.

“It’s kind of scary coming in here knowing that someone could just break in,” said Cindy Holmyard, an employee.

The man attempted to break into several cash registers, damaging them, but was unable to find any money.

He was seen leaving the business with a Red Bull novelty dorm-size refrigerator and a flat screen television that was still in the box.

“A Red Bull mini fridge and he just helped himself to that,” Holmyard said. “It was full of Red Bull.”

The man is described as a white, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a bald head, and was wearing a blue jacket and a hooded sweatshirt.

Waterford police are investigating.
