FLINT, Mich. – The man police said went to Bishop International Airport in Flint and stabbed an officer in the neck is apparently upset that he didn't die when officers arrested him.
Local 4 has learned Amor Ftouhi is a father of several children, but investigators can't say with certainty why he traveled so many miles to carry out the attack.
Ftouhi is from Montreal. Soon after he was identified as the attacker, the FBI quickly contacted Canadian officials, who surrounded Frouhi's apartment.

Canadian officers went inside the unit hoping to discover why Ftouhi chose Flint, Michigan, and if he did anything suspicious along the way.
Court records show last Friday Ftouhi left Canada and crossed into the United States from Quebec to New York. He then traveled nearly 500 miles through Pennsylvania and Ohio before parking at the Bishop International Airport in Flint.
It's more than a 10-hour drive, and investigators are trying to determine if he made any stops along the way. They also want to know whether he met anyone as he traveled to Michigan.
In Montreal, neighbors were shocked to learn the man who lived next to them for six years was suspected of stabbing an airport officer. Published reports show Ftouhi talked to few people and kept to himself.
Neighbors said he was a father of several children.
What Canadian investigators found at the apartment is unclear, but they're making it clear the joint agency probe is headed by the FBI.
"As soon as an incident like this happens on either side of the border, the communication back and forth is instantaneous, and it functions in both ways," Canadian Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said.
The airport is back open after being shut down for much of Wednesday. There's been no additional screenings in light of the attack.
