HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – An automotive interior manufacturing company will be laying off 345 positions at its Highland Park facility.
Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems announced the layoffs Tuesday morning citing a loss of business as the reason for the downsizing.

The permanent elimination of 345 total positions includes 20 salaried positions, 207 hourly union positions and 118 third-party contract positions. Affected union employees may have bumping rights to remain in the plant subject to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Unrepresented employees do not have bumping rights.
Yanfeng said the job eliminations will occur no earlier than Jan. 20, 2018.
The facility is located at 12775 Oakland Parkway.
