YPSILANTI, Mich. – Officials were dispatched to the group home located in the 500 block of Madison Street on an ambulance request at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Authorities said that an unresponsive resident prompted the call, and on arrival, it was determined that Everett Junior Thompson, a 64-year-old man, was deceased.
Police officials initially spoke with the group home's owner, Annie Walls, who stated that she was at the location and found Thompson unresponsive on the bed.
Authorities said the investigation revealed that Thompson actually lived in the group home in the 500 block of Monroe Street. It was revealed that Walls was called to his room after other clients had found him unresponsive and had allegedly moved Thompson's body from one location to another, according to police.
Ms. Walls was arrested and taken to the Washtenaw County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
