It's hard to believe that we got the first snow of the season Wednesday night. It feels like fall was just in full swing, then we blinked and it's gone. Let's enjoy those last fall colors while they last.

The big story this week was the passing of the $1 billion Ann Arbor Public Schools bond to repair existing school infrastructure, build two new schools and more. Although the proposal passed, the vote was close, with many opposing what became one of the largest-ever bond proposals in the state from a school district.

😲 Here's a crazy story. Researchers at the University of Michigan figured out how to hack voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home with lasers -- they were even able to remotely open someone's front door. (A4)
🌎 Another research team at U-M created an interactive map of Michigan which highlights areas of the state that will be most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. (A4)
🚰 PFAS. They're four letters that we'd all just like to forget, but testing of the city's drinking water last month revealed levels of the toxic chemicals have risen. (MLive)
🐶 Today is the last day to adopt an adult cat or dog from the Humane Society of Huron Valley for $10 in celebration of the facility's 10th anniversary. (A4)
🚒 The city is now accepting applications for its annual Ready Ann Arbor Preparedness Training where participants will undergo training for basic first aid, active shooter scenarios, home fire safety and more. (A4)
