Keegan-Michael Key is a proud Detroiter and a star in high demand. He's done a couple small movies this year, (you know, The Lion King and Toy Story 4) and his most recent work is in Dolemite Is My Name starring Eddie Murphy. While promoting the film with co-star Wesley Snipes, Key was visited by movie reviewer Greg Russell who had a present. The gift? Two bags of Detroit's Better Made potato chips. Live In The D is in the Halloween spirit!
🧟 Zombie warts, check! Zombie teeth, check! Zombie makeup, check! The ladies at "Multimedia Makeup Academy" pulled off an amazing Halloween makeover live on the show in only 40 minutes.
💀 There is one town in metro Detroit that doesn't hold back when it comes to Halloween. You could say they have no bones about it! Kila Peeples took a tour of Northville and found touring this town is a scary good time.
🎃 You have to have a few tricks up your sleeve after you've competed on Food Network's "Halloween Baking Championship." One local baker known as "The Pastry Guru" had some treat ideas that you can make in your own cauldron, I mean kitchen. 😉

🍽️ Detroit Food Scene!!
When people hear "Detroit" around the country (and around the world) they usually think world class cars, the Tigers, the Lions, but in recent years our red-hot food scene is at the top of the list of what we're known for.
Chefs from all over the country are opening up shop in the city with the opportunity to create interesting and creative dishes for an open-minded and excited group of foodies. Detroiters, and out-of-towners, can't get enough!
In all honesty, some cuisines and concepts have been a little over my head at times, but as a life long foodie, I appreciate the innovation. From the casual burger to ethnic cuisine to Detroit style pizza, we've got it all. When I have friends and family fly in from all over the county they land with a list of places they've heard rave reviews about and want to check out.
However, Detroit offers things that a lot of big cities don't: Glossy, fancy new places to eat, but with a side of home town hospitality. After a few visits to local restaurants that have turned into my favorites, I'm treated like family coming by for a visit.
The restaurant staff remembers what I liked during my last visit, and is able to make recommendations. They let me know that my favorite fish is back on the menu and suggest desserts that they think I may like. You just don't get this kind of connection most places.
So when people say that Detroit is a foodie destination, just remind them that we have a lot more to offer.
