Kim DeGiulio:ย To say my body is sore today would be an understatement. Iโve been training for the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon and yesterday I ran 6.5 miles! Iโm hoping to at least get to 10 miles for my training before the race in October. Iโm not that competitive when it comes to running half marathons. Iโm more of the โif I finish without dying then Iโll be proud of myselfโ type of person. I ran this same half marathon back in 2016 and I didnโt die then but I sure did feel like I was going to toward the end. Shortly after the race though, I felt amazing and was so proud of myself. Thatโs why I decided I wanted to run it again.

This warm weather has been perfect for my training. Not everybody likes running in hot weather but itโs what I prefer. I usually try to do it later in the evening when the sun isnโt too strong. Of course Iโm still drinking tons of water to hydrate! With Brandonโs future forecast it looks like thereโs going to be plenty of hot days for me to continue my training. Iโll just have to pay close attention so I donโt get caught in the rain! See you in the morning!ย
