Kim DeGiulio:Β To say my body is sore today would be an understatement. Iβve been training for the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon and yesterday I ran 6.5 miles! Iβm hoping to at least get to 10 miles for my training before the race in October. Iβm not that competitive when it comes to running half marathons. Iβm more of the βif I finish without dying then Iβll be proud of myselfβ type of person. I ran this same half marathon back in 2016 and I didnβt die then but I sure did feel like I was going to toward the end. Shortly after the race though, I felt amazing and was so proud of myself. Thatβs why I decided I wanted to run it again.

This warm weather has been perfect for my training. Not everybody likes running in hot weather but itβs what I prefer. I usually try to do it later in the evening when the sun isnβt too strong. Of course Iβm still drinking tons of water to hydrate! With Brandonβs future forecast it looks like thereβs going to be plenty of hot days for me to continue my training. Iβll just have to pay close attention so I donβt get caught in the rain! See you in the morning!Β

All Morning -- βοΈ Weather andΒ π§ Traffic on the 4s
Thursday will still be a bit muggy and warm even after a cold front moves through in the morning hours. It takes about a day for the cooler and dryer air to settle in so we will be in the low to mid 80s with a few scattered showers on and off during the transition of air from hot and humid to cooler and dryer. Donβt expect much. It will be a nice mix of sun and clouds otherwise and a bit breezy at times W 5-12 mph gusting to 20 mph at times.
